The Meghalaya High Court has stayed the Assam-Meghalaya border memorandum of understanding. The next hearing on the matter will be held on February 6. 
The petition was filed in the High Court against the agreement.
The agreement between the two states violates the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. The agreement is also accused of obstructing the local administrative system.
4 local administrators in Meghalaya had filed a petition in the High Court.
