Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Sabarmati riverfront footover bridge 'Atal Bridge', which connects the east and west of the riverfront, in Ahmedabad tomorrow during his two-day visit to Gujarat starting August 27.
On 21 March 2018, a steel foot overbridge (pedestrian bridge) connecting both the banks of the Sabarmati river was approved by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL). The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation named this bridge on 25 December 2021, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.It will provide connectivity from the plaza to multi-level car parking and various public developments on the east and west coast.Atal Bridge is very beautiful to see. Let us tell you, Atal Bridge is 300 meters long.This bridge is situated between Sardar Bridge and Ellis Bridge. It has been designed by STUP Consultants Limited based in Mumbai and built by P&R Infraprojects Limited. The design of Atal Bridge is inspired by the kite festival organized in the city. You can see its colors all around the bridge.
