Lovlina Borgohain, who won bronze in the Tokyo Olympics, has been elected as the Chair of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Athletes Committee. Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur made the announcement . The International Boxing Association (IBA) on Thursday announced that Olympic bronze medalist Lavlina Bargohai has been elected as the chairperson and voting member of the athletes' committee. Lovlina had received the highest number of votes during the 2022 Women's World Championships.Lovlina said that ,"I am honored to be elected as the Chairman of the IBA Athlete Committee. I never thought I would be the Chairman of this committee. This is a great opportunity for me to promote boxing and I am the world first."
