2023 Padma Awards have been announced

2023 Padma Awards have been announced.
The awards were announced for a total of 106 distinguished personalities in the country.Of these, six have been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, nine the Padma Bhushan and 91 the Padma Shri.There are 3 prominent personalities of Assam among them.  Three distinguished personalities of Assam have been awarded the Padma Shri.
They are respectively- Ramquiwangbe Jene.  Jene  is a Naga social worker from Dima Hasao.  This award is for the conservation of the Hereka community.
Mask artist Hem Chandra Goswami has been awarded the Padma Shri.The Padma Shri award was also presented to Hemprabha Chutia.Hemprabha Chutia wove Gunmala, Namghosha and Srimad Bhagavat Gita in her weaving mill.
