HDR Lyngdoh was also a candidate for the upcoming elections.
Lyngdoh died of a heart attack during an election campaign.
Lyngdoh passed away at Bethany Hospital in Shillong.
Lyngdoh was the UDP candidate from Sohiong constituency in East Khasi Hills.
