Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga In Maharashtra: The dispute between the Assam government and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) over the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga temple is growing.  Now, the statement of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has come.  "There is no need to argue. The Bhimashankar Temple has been there for thousands of years. According to the Shiva Purana, it is in Kamarup in Assam. We did not write the Shiva Purana," he said.
"The Shiv Sena is doing politics on God, so their party symbol has disappeared. We believe in Shiva," Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.  CM Himanta further said that Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga is in Kamrup state.  The entire Akhand is in the Shiva Purana and according to the Shiva Purana, Bhimashankar is considered to be a Jyotirlinga.   People in Maharashtra would believe that Bhimashankar would be there.
