Constitution Day 2023: In a program organized in the Supreme Court premises on the occasion of Constitution Day, the Chief Justice assured the citizens of the country that the doors of the Supreme Court are always open for them. In the presence of President Draupadi Murmu, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Chief Justice said at the end of his address that on the occasion of Constitution Day, I want to tell the citizens of India that the doors of the Supreme Court have always been open for you and will continue to be so. Will remain open. You never need to be afraid of coming to court. Your faith in the judiciary inspires us. Your faith is our place of reverence.
The Chief Justice said that our Supreme Court is perhaps the only court in the world where a person can hope for justice just by writing a letter to the Chief Justice. Just a post card, a mail is enough for the Supreme Court to take cognizance of that case and considering it as urgent, lists the case for hearing on the same day.
The Chief Justice said that all the decisions of the Supreme Court are being translated into Hindi and other regional languages of the country. On this occasion, e-SCR portal was also launched in Hindi. Chief Justice said that 21 thousand 388 decisions of the Supreme Court have been translated into Hindi, checked and uploaded on this portal. Hindi translation of the remaining decisions will also be uploaded soon. 9276 decisions have been translated into regional languages like Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Oriya, Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, Urdu, Nepali, Assamese and uploaded on the e-SCR portal.
