Under the Agneepath scheme for army recruitment, the first batch of Agniveers has been prepared after six months of rigorous training.  Agniveer is absolutely ready to protect the country.  On Monday (January 16), Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the first batch of Agniveers.  PM Modi addressed the Agniveers through video conferencing.
 In the first batch, 40 thousand Agniveers have been prepared.  They have been trained in 10 different regimental centers of the Indian Army.  Apart from PM Modi, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also addressed the Agniveers.  These Agniveers are ready for water, land and air force.  To get training in different weapons, the Agniveers are given training in different regimental centres.
