National Desk:
Supreme Court News: While giving an important decision on Friday, the Supreme Court said that the decisions of the Collegium are made public.  The court also said that the information about the discussion held before that also cannot be sought under RTI.  Along with this remark, the Supreme Court has dismissed a petition, in which a demand was made to make public the decision taken by the collegium on the appointment of new judges on December 12, 2018.
Further, the Supreme Court said, "Whatever is discussed (in the collegium meetings) shall not be in the public domain. Only the final decision needs to be uploaded."  Explain that in a petition, the details of the Collegium meeting on the appointment of two judges on December 12, 2018 were sought, which were never made public.
The petitioner, activist Anjali Bhardwaj, had sought the details under the Right to Information Act (RTI), but it was denied and she challenged the decision.  The judges said that the petitioner had "relied on articles" based on the interview of one of the judges present in that meeting.  The Supreme Court said, "We do not want to comment on that. The latter's proposition was very clear. There is no merit in (the petition), it deserves to be dismissed."
