The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the poor condition and starvation deaths of migrant laborers in the country.  On this, a bench of Justice MR Shah and Justice BV Nagaratna said that despite the implementation of the National Food Security Act, starvation is a matter of concern.  Still people are compelled to quench hunger by tying cloth on their stomach, drinking water.The court said that ration cards should be given to all the laborers of the country, so that they can get free ration on less money or for free.  In fact, the Supreme Court itself took cognizance of the poor condition of migrant laborers during the Corona period.  The amicus curiae appearing in the court said that still cases of death of migrant laborers due to hunger are coming.
People in villages starve by tying clothes on their stomachs and drinking water when they are not getting wages.  On this, Justice Shah said, 'We have said earlier also that no citizen should die of hunger.  Despite government claims, people are starving.  At the same time, Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati said that the central and state governments are providing all possible help.The court said that the farmers and laborers of the country are most important.  Farmers, food donors and laborers play a role in the building of the country.  They cannot be ignored.  Both deserve help.  Some states are lagging behind in this matter.  Some states could not even cross half the target.  It will have to be rectified.B
