The ill effects of Corona period are now visible in the world. According to the UN's 'The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2022 Report', people's struggle with hunger has increased rapidly after 2019. In 2021, 768 million of the world's victims were found to be malnourished, of which 224 million (29%) were Indians. Which is more than a quarter of the total number of malnourished people in the world.
According to the Global Hunger Index-2021, India is the second largest food producer in the world. We rank first in the world in the production of milk, pulses, rice, fish, vegetables and wheat. Nevertheless, a large population of the country is suffering from malnutrition.In 2019, 618 million people in the world were faced with hunger, while in 2021 this number increased to 768 million. That is, in just 2 years, 15 crore (24.3%) people increased, who did not get food for one time.
