The Cabinet meeting held in Shillong for the first time in the Barak Valley took several important decisions.After the cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister addressed a press conference at the District Commissioner's office.
The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the construction of three flyovers in Guwahati.
The Chief Minister said the construction of flyovers in downtown, Fatashil and Garchuk would start within the next year.The Cabinet also decided to cover 10 lakh 57 thousand 516 new beneficiaries under the Arunodoi scheme in the state.New Arunodoi beneficiaries will be given by March 31. The application process for the scheme will start from January 7.The beneficiaries will be selected by February  20. The beneficiaries will receive the first  installment on April 10.The government has also decided to include the beneficiaries of the Din Dayal Disabled Scheme in the Arunodoi Scheme.The Cabinet meeting in Shillong approved 322 project proposals, Chief Minister Sharma said.  The Cabinet also approved a 32-year-old proposal.
The Chief Minister also said that the Cabinet has also decided to construct a new road from Borjhar Airport to Azara.
The government is also planning to build a bridge over the Pagladia River.The Cabinet also decided to construct a bridge connecting Majuli and Lakhimpur.
