Delhi Police Commissioner: Sanjay Arora, a 1988 batch IPS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Delhi.  According to the information, Sanjay Arora will take charge on Monday.  Sanjay Arora has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Delhi Police in place of Rakesh Asthana.  Let us tell you that Sanjay Arora is currently working as DG of ITBP.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoH), IPS Sanjay Arora has a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur (Rajasthan).  At present, Sanjay Arora was performing the responsibility of the post of Director General of ITBP i.e. Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).  Now IPS officer Sanjay Arora has been given the command of Delhi Police.  It is said that the flamboyant IPS officer Arora has tremendous leadership ability, which will now benefit the Delhi Police Department.

After becoming IPS, he has worked in different positions in Tamil Nadu Police.  He has also been the SP of the Special Task Force.  Sanjay Arora has also been awarded gallantry honor by the Chief Minister for several successful operations against sandalwood smuggler Veerappan gang.
