67th birth anniversary of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma

Today is the 67th birth anniversary of Upendra Nath Brahma, the father of the Bodo people.  The city's Media Trust Assam celebrated the birth anniversary of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma at the Upendra Nath Brahma Memorial Journalists Guest House in Rupnagar.
 The program started with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the statue of Bodofa in the morning.  This was followed by the main meeting.  The main meeting was attended by several dignitaries.  They spoke about the life and works of Upendra Nath Brahma.
 The Executive Trustee of the Trust, Ramani Barman, said that Upendra Nath Brahma is not only known as the father of the Bodo nation.  He is also known as a distinguished student and a skilled teacher.  He said Upendra Nath Brahma was also known as a skilled journalist and he will always be known as a humanitarian in the struggle for the development of the tribes and the Bodo nation.
