North East Festival: President at the closing ceremony of the North-East Festival in Guwahati

 "The Northeast has suffered a lot as a result of the partition of the country. There is a lot of development in the Northeast now."  The remarks were made by President Ramnath Kobinde at the closing ceremony of the North-East Festival as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Wednesday.  Assam and the whole of the North-East played an important role in the conflict.  In the post-independence period, there was considerable traffic congestion in the Northeast.  This problem is far from over.  In his short speech, the President lauded the culture, manners and cuisine of the people of the entire Northeast and said that the culture of the people of the Northeast has a special place in the culture of the people of the Northeast.  -Eastern region should be fortified and built within the country.  He hopes that this day the Northeast will emerge as a prosperous region within the country.  Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Governor Jagadish Mukhi and Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma addressed the function.
