On August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the country from the Red Fort, announced the launch of the 'Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana' worth Rs 1 lakh crore. This national level scheme has been created with the aim of creating new employment opportunities for the youth and encouraging the private sector to provide jobs. PM Modi said, "There is big news for the youth of the country. Today we are launching a scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore." The scheme has come into effect from August 15 and under this, both the youth getting jobs for the first time and the employers recruiting them will get incentives.
According to the scheme, the youth who get their first job in the private sector will be given Rs 15,000 directly by the government. This will help the youth to get into formal employment. Also, companies that recruit new employees will also get financial incentives. Companies will get up to Rs 3,000 every month per new employee, while the manufacturing sector will be given additional benefits.
