Rangacherra Becomes Tripura’s First Green Village with Solar Power

Rangacherra, a small village in the Mohanpur area of Tripura, is now the first green village in the state. This big step was made possible by a project from the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA), with help from the state government.

The project cost ₹1.25 crore and brought solar power to the village. TREDA set up a solar power plant, solar street lights, solar lights in homes, and a clean drinking water system that also runs on solar energy.
