China beats South Korea to win record 14th Sudirman Cup title

China beat South Korea 3-1 in the Sudirman Cup final in the Chinese city of Xiamen on Sunday, winning a record 14th title in the biennial mixed team event.

Having won the last three Sudirman Cup editions, China were favourites against four-time winners South Korea and world No. 2 mixed doubles pair Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping made a winning start.

Feng and Huang recovered from a second-game loss to beat South Korean pair Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yoo-jung 21-16, 17-21, 21-15 in one hour and 24 minutes.
