India, Oman agree to amend tax treaty to promote greater cooperation

India and Oman have agreed to amend the DTAA to bring it in line with international standards on cross-border taxation, simplify procedures and promote greater cooperation in tax matters, an official statement issued on Tuesday said.
A protocol to amend the India-Oman Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) was signed during Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal's visit to Muscat.
