Rani Rampal retired from hockey

Former women's hockey captain Rani Rampal announced her retirement on Thursday, shocking hockey fans.  Rani Rampal, 29, a daughter of Shahabad, had given the women's team its best ever performance in the Olympics.  She finished fourth in the Tokyo Games in 2021 and has also been awarded the Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.
