Recently, 'Living Planet Report 2024' was released regarding the status of wildlife.
According to the report, the average size of wildlife population has declined by 73% in the last 50 years during the year 1970-2020.This decline was 69% in the report of the year 2022.The most rapid decline in wildlife population has been recorded in Latin America and the Caribbean (95%), Africa (76%), Asia-Pacific (60%).
The highest decline in the report has been recorded in freshwater ecosystems at 85%.
