Amazon has announced that Sameer Kumar will take over as country manager for India from October 1, 2024, following the resignation of Manish Tiwari in August. Kumar has been with Amazon since 1999 and was instrumental in the launch of Amazon India in 2013 and currently oversees Amazon’s consumer businesses in the Middle East, South Africa and Turkey. In his new role, Kumar will assume operational responsibilities for Amazon’s Indian market while continuing his current regional duties.
