IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad appointed SSB chief

Senior IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad was appointed Director General of Armed Border Forces (SSB) on Friday.  Amrit Mohan Prasad, a 1989-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer, is currently the Special Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

 The Cabinet Appointments Committee has approved Prasad's appointment as Director General of SSB, an order issued by the Personnel Ministry said.  His term will run until August 31, 2025, when he will retire.
