The Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Trust has announced this year's Lokmanya Tilak National Award to veteran social activist and prolific writer Sudha Murthy. Infosys founder N.K. R.S. Narayan Murthy has already been awarded the award, making it the first couple to receive the award.
Tilak Memorial Trust Chairman Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam will address a program to be held at Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi on Friday (August 1) at 6 pm on the occasion of Lokmanya Tilak's death anniversary. Deepak Tilak will present the awards to the idols. Senior leader Sharad Pawar, MP Shahu Chhatrapati, Congress in-charge Ramesh Chennithala and trustee Sushilkumar Shinde will be present.
