Mahabodhi and Vishnupad corridors will be developed in Bihar on the lines of Kashi

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented the first budget of the Modi government's third term, in which she made several major announcements.  During his budget speech, the finance minister made a major announcement to boost tourism in Bihar by saying that the Mahabodhi and Vishnupad corridors would be developed in Bihar on the lines of the Kashi corridor in Uttar Pradesh.
  
 Finance Minister said that,“Tourism has always been a part of our civilization.  Our efforts to make India a global tourist destination will create new jobs and new opportunities in other sectors.  The Vishnupada Temple in Gaya and the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya are very important places.  We will construct corridors on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in both places so that these places become global tourist destinations".
