Maharashtra farmer made a name for himself in the world, United Nations agency named Siddhesh Sakore "Land Hero"

Maharashtra farmer and founder of Agro Rangers Siddhesh Sakore has been named a Land Hero by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).  On the occasion of World Desertification and Drought Day, the UNCCD announced the names of 10 Land Heroes at an event in Bonn, Germany on Sunday.  Apart from Siddhesh Sakore, other land heroes are from Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, Mali, Moldova, Morocco, Philippines, USA and Zimbabwe.
