Lt. General Waker Uz Zaman becomes Bangladesh Army Chief

Lt Gen Waker Uz Zaman has been named as the Bangladesh Army chief for the next three years.  The Defense Ministry said.  Lt Gen Weker Uz Zaman will take over from June 23. Lt Gen Waker Zaman, 58, will be upgraded to a four-star general on the day he assumes office.
