Australia returns 500-year-old Bajrangbali statue to India, Union Minister said

Australia has returned a 500-year-old idol of Lord Hanuman stolen from a temple in Tamil Nadu to India.  It was handed over to the Indian Embassy in Australia.  Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and North Eastern Development G.K.  Kishan Reddy tweeted that the Government of India is working towards bringing back all the precious things of the country.  In his tweet, he also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 He further said that during the Chola period, a metal idol of Lord Hanuman was stolen from the Vishnu temple in the 14th-15th centuries.  He also said that 251 artifacts have been recovered from different countries so far.  "We are working continuously to bring our priceless heritage back home," PM Modi tweeted.
