Parents of rape accused put such demands, why did CJI DY Chandrachud get angry when he saw the petition?

A strange case came up in the Supreme Court on Monday in which a lawyer suffered the wrath of the CJI.  In fact, the case involved a convict of rape.  CJI Justice DY Chandrachud was angry when he heard the subject matter of the petition and dismissed the petition.  In the petition, the parents of the accused had demanded that the child born from the rape be handed over to them.  “Is there any limit to the number of petitions coming here?
Chief Justice DY Chandrachud was seen getting angry in the Supreme Court on Monday.  A petition of a case had come before him.  The strange case came up for hearing in the Supreme Court before a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha.  A youth from Jakhni Khal in Pauri district of Uttarakhand was convicted of rape.  The petition was filed by the mother of the rape convict.
The mother of the rape convict, Rakhi Devi, had petitioned the court to hand over the child born to the girl her son had raped.  After learning the subject matter of the petition, CJI Justice Chandrachud became angry.  He dismissed the petition and said, “Is there any limit to the number of petitions that can come here?
The rapist's parents' lawyer Ajay Kumar had arrived in the court room with the petition.  When the counsel read the petition before a bench of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justice Narasimha, the CJI reprimanded him and said, “Your son is in jail for rape and you want that child (the child born after the rape) to be handed over to you?  The lawyer then said the plea was in the best interests of the child.  Justice Narasimha said, “You know what you are saying?
 "There should be a limit to the number of petitions coming to the Supreme Court," CJI Chandrachud said.  This petition is dismissed.  After the petition was dismissed by the court, the parents of the rape accused, returned disappointed.
