Modi Government gave good news on Old Pension

Modi government has given a big update regarding Old Pension Yojana.  If you are a government employee and want to take advantage of Old Pension Scheme, this news will make you happy.  After a long wait, the government has decided to provide Old Pension Scheme to Central Government Employees.  Yes, you can now opt for the old pension.  OPS had been in demand across the country for a long time.  The Modi government has made big announcements in recent days.
  As per the update on Old Pension Scheme, if any employee was recruited before 22nd December 2003, all of them will get the benefit of Old Pension Scheme.  However, not all employees who joined Government service after 22nd December 2003 will get the benefit of Old Pension Scheme.  Those people will be covered in the new pension plan.  Government employees can opt for the old pension scheme.
  Such employees will have the option of opting for the old pension till 31st August 2023.  The government also informed that if the eligible employees do not select the option of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) by August 31, their names will continue in the New Pension Yojana.  According to the information, if an employee selects the option of going to the old pension scheme, it will be considered as the last option.
