National Desk:
India's President Draupadi Murmu appeared in a pilot on Saturday.  President Murmu was seen wearing an Air Force pilot's outfit instead of her traditional sari.  This was the scene at Tez Air Force Station in Assam, where the President took off from the Indian Air Force fighter jet Sukhoi.
Shortly after takeoff, President Murmu's Sukhoi plane landed safely at Tezpur station.  Draupadi Murmu has become the second woman President of India to do so.  Her first former President Pratibha Patil has flown in Sukhoi.  She flew in a Sukhoi fighter jet from Pune Air Force Base in 2009.
President Murmu flew in a Sukhoi MK-30I.  It is a two-seat fighter aircraft, developed by Russia.  It is manufactured under license by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. of India.
