News Desk:
The new month has begun but the public is experiencing inflation. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) on Saturday hiked the price of Amul milk by Rs 2 per liter in the state. This is the first hike in milk prices since the state assembly elections in December2022.
GCMMF is the largest body of dairy cooperative societies in the state. Usually GCMMF announces the increase in milk prices earlier, but this time it did not happen. Sources said the prices have been increased due to increase in milk productivity costs due to rising feed and transport prices.
