Former DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta has been appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of the State

Former Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta has been appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of the state.
IPS Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner after the expiry of the tenure of the current Chief Information Commissioner Dr Ajit Prasad Rout.
Mahanta retired from the post of Director General of Police (DGP) on January 31.
