The number of Vande Bharat trains is being increased across the country. North East India is now getting its first Vande Bharat train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may give the green light to the Vande Bharat Express connecting Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri on April 14 . The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has started preparations for a grand event to mark the launch of Vande Bharat in the region.
"It is true that the Vande Bharat Express Train will soon be given the green light in the northeast," an official said on condition of anonymity. We are planning to launch it on April 14 during the Prime Minister's visit to Guwahati.
The Assam government will organize a huge program on the occasion of the upcoming Rongali Bihu. 11,140 dancers will perform before Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on April 14. Its also expected to make it to the Guinness Book of World Records. According to the official, he may give the green light to the train during the state round. NFR currently operates only Vande Bharat Express between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.
