Mumbai Indians have signed Jintimani Kalita for Rs 10 lakh in the country's first ever Women's Premier League (WPL).
Like the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is organizing the Women's Premier League for the first time.The auction was held for the competition and Jintimani Kalita, a daughter of Mangaldai, Assam, was selected.Mumbai Indians bought the player for a base price of Rs 10 lakh.“It is good news for the entire Mangaldai community,” she said, thanking her parents and coaches.
