Pathan Protest Update: Film Pathan superstar Shah Rukh Khan called Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma late last night in view of the growing protests. The call from Shah Rukh Khan comes after the CM issued statements regarding the film a day earlier. He had said that he doesn't know any Shah Rukh Khan. He even flatly refused to watch the film. Now, Shah Rukh has called the Chief Minister to express his concern over the ongoing violent protests over the film.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan had called him late at around 2 am. During the meeting, Khan expressed concern over the ongoing widespread protests in the state against the release of upcoming film Pathan. Sarma said he had assured Khan that the state government would ensure that no untoward incident occurred during the screening of 'Pathan'.
