Budget 2023: 500 Vande Bharat Express, 35 hydrogen trains, learn what the railways expect from the budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget on February 1, which has high expectations from all sectors and the general public.  Railways also has high expectations from FY 2023-2  The finance minister is said to be likely to announce 500 Vande Bharat Express and 35 hydrogen trains for the railway sector.  It can also gift 4,000 new auto mobile carrier coaches and 58,000 wagon trains.
It is also expected that senior citizens in the railways will be given fare discounts.  According to a report in the Times of India, the railways could get a budget of Rs 1.9 lakh crore in this year's budget.
It is expected that the upcoming budget may focus on railway infrastructure.  In addition, this budget can also include modernization, electrification, platform development and upgrading of short lines.  Budget could be announced for developing major railway stations in the country including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
