National Desk:
Referring to terrorism, India has once again given a strong message to Pakistan and China.  Citing the example of Uri and Balakot, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that the country will not come under anyone's pressure.  Addressing the 53rd anniversary day of Tughlaq magazine in Chennai, Jaishankar said India's counter-reaction to terrorism has been steadfast in its efforts to change the status quo.
The Foreign Minister said that India's long-standing attitude has created the danger of normalizing terrorism.  In the wake of the recent border skirmishes, Jaishankar said, "China on the northern borders today is seeking to change the status quo by bringing in large forces in violation of our agreements. Despite Covid, our retaliatory response was strong and firm. Thousands of  Troops deployed in numbers guard our borders."
The External Affairs Minister further said, "There are many aspects of national welfare and national security is without question the basic premise. All countries are tested in this regard, but we have a range of challenges, from extremism to cross-border terrorism, especially terrorism has its fair share of problems. However, a prolonged tolerance approach risked normalizing terrorism, so Uri and Balakot sent a much-needed message."
