COVID 19: 'Corona is not finished' - PM Modi said in high level meeting, said this on genome sequencing, testing and masks

Sub-variant BF.7 cases of Corona's Omicron are coming in many countries including China, Japan and America.  Meanwhile, on Wednesday (December 21), four cases of BF.7 came in India as well.  After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high level meeting on Thursday (December 22).Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a high-level meeting that Corona is not over yet.  He said, “Be fully prepared for Covid.  States have been advised to conduct audits to ensure the availability of oxygen cylinders, PSA plants, ventilators and infrastructure."
Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, ICMR officials, Civil Aviation officials, VK Paul of NITI Aayog and all other key stakeholders were present in the meeting.  PM Modi attended the meeting virtually.PM Narendra Modi has advised not to be lax about Covid.  He said that vigilance should be further increased at international airports and other places.  PM Modi also stressed on the need for stronger surveillance with a focus on increasing genome sequencing and testing.  He has also asked everyone to wear masks.
