National Desk:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Meghalaya that today construction is being done on the border due to stings.  He said that new roads, tunnels, bridges, rail lines and whatever is necessary are being constructed at a fast pace, the villages which used to be desolate, today we are making them vibrant villages.  The PM said that the speed which is important for our cities.  It is necessary to have the same speed on our border as well.
The PM said that he has been thinking for a long time that there will be development in the border area, if connectivity increases then the enemy will be benefited.  Due to this thinking of the previous government, connectivity could not be improved in many border areas of the country including the North-East, but today there is a need to build new roads, new tunnels, new bridges, new rail lines, new airstrips on the border.  The work is going on fast.  We are engaged in making the border villages which were once deserted, vibrant.
During this, the PM said that for us the North-East, our border area, is not the last end but the gateway to security and prosperity.  The security of the nation is ensured from here and trade with other countries also happens from here.  That's why there is another important scheme, which is going to benefit the states of North-East.  This scheme is Vibrant Border Village Scheme.  Under this, better facilities will be developed in the border villages.
