Sports Desk:
IND vs BAN, 1st ODI: In the ODI series being played against Bangladesh, the Indian team had to face 1 wicket defeat in the first match.  The batting and fielding of the Indian team was very average in this match.  Batting first, the team was all out for 186 runs in 41.2 overs.  After this, the ordinary fielding team became a canker.
After Bangladesh's 9 wickets fell, Indian team's wicketkeeper KL Rahul left the catch of Mehdi Hasan.  This catch of Rahul is being told the reason for losing the match.  Now former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar has given his reaction on this.  He told that Rahul's catch was not really responsible for the defeat.
Gavaskar defended KL Rahul on Sony Sports Network, saying, "You can't really say it was.  Because yes, I think it was the last wicket.  This should have ended the match.  But the truth is that India had scored 186 runs.  I think you should have seen that too.  The bowlers did brilliantly and got themselves into a position where they were 136 for 9.
He continued, “And then Hasan Miraj came.  Along with missing that catch, a bit of luck was also in his favor, but he (Hasan Miraj) played very well.  He played smartly.  He took the attack to the opposition and played some daring shots.
He further said, “When you have to chase less than four runs per over.  The way Bangladesh wanted, then the pressure automatically reduces.  Bangladesh had made it difficult for themselves by playing more cautiously.  This became a problem for him.  I think India didn't score more than 70-80 runs, that's why they lost."
