Asian Cup 2022 TT: Manika first Indian woman player to reach semi-finals, defeats Chinese Taipei player

India's star table tennis player Manika Batra on Friday became the first Indian woman to reach the semi-finals of the Asian Cup table tennis tournament.  She defeated her better ranked Chen Hsu Yu of Chinese Taipei 4-3 in the quarterfinals.  World No. 44 Manika defeated world No. 23 Chen 6-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-7, 8-11, 9-11, 11-9 in a hard-fought women's singles match.  .
    Indian player Manika had earlier made Chen Jingtong, the seventh number in the world of China, a victim of vicissitudes.  Manika will take on the winner of the match between Korea's Jeon Jihee and Japan's Mima Ito in the semi-finals.
