National Desk:
Nalini Sriharan, convicted of killing former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, was released from jail on Saturday, November 12, 2022.  On Friday, November 11, the Supreme Court had ordered the release of all the six convicts in the murder case.  Before releasing Nalini Sriharan from jail, the Vellore Police of Tamil Nadu carried out the routine process.
Before being released from jail, Nalini had also gone to Vellore police station this morning, where she had registered her presence under parole conditions.  A video of him had also surfaced during the day in which the police was taking him in a van.  He had approached the country's highest court seeking premature release.  Congress termed this decision of release as unfortunate.  Nalini said about herself that she is not a terrorist.
