Kamalpreet Kaur Banned for 3 Years: India's top discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur, who impressed with her performance in the Tokyo Olympics, has received a major punishment.  He got this punishment for taking steroids.  Kamalpreet Kaur has been banned for three years.  He had consumed the banned substance Stanozolol.  His ban will be effective from March 29, 2022.  The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has announced this.
    AIU took Kamalpreet's samples about seven months ago.  She was also suspended earlier, but now due to being found guilty, she will not be able to participate in any event for three years.  His sample taken for testing in Patiala on March 7 was found positive for steroids in the test.  In May this year, he was temporarily suspended.  A three-year ban was imposed on Wednesday for the use of the banned substance stanozolol.  The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced this.
    Kamalpreet impressed with her performance in the last Olympic Games played in Tokyo.  She finished sixth in the women's discus throw event.  "The AIU has banned Kamalpreet Kaur of India for three years with effect from March 29, 2022, for the presence/use of a banned substance (Stanozolol)," the AIU said in a statement.  Their results will be invalid from March 7, 2022.
