Neeraj got silver in World Athletics Championships: First Indian to achieve this position, country got medal after 19 years

India's javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has won the silver medal at the 18th World Athletics Championships in Eugene, USA.  He achieved this medal by throwing 88.13 meters javelin.  The gold was won by Grenada's Anderson Peters with a throw of 90.46m.  Rohit Yadav of India was also in the same event.  He finished 10th with a throw of 78.72 meters.
Neeraj Chopra threw a length of 88.13 meters in the fourth try.  At the same time, Anderson Peters of Granada won the gold medal.  He threw the javelin 90.54 meters away in his last throw at his best.  Czech Republic's Jakob Wadle finished third with a bronze medal.  He threw his best throw javelin 88.09 meters away.  At the same time, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan was also involved in this competition.  He finished fifth.  His best performance was 86.16 metres.
