Sunil Gavaskar: Former India great player and captain Sunil Gavaskar had won many matches for the Indian team on his own.  Now a big record has been registered in the name of Sunil Gavaskar.  The stadium of Leicester, England is going to be named after Sunil Gavaskar.  He will be the first Indian cricketer to have a cricket stadium named after him in England.  Sunil Gavaskar was part of India's 1983 World Cup winning team.On having a cricket stadium named after Sunil Gavaskar in England, the veteran batsman said, 'I am happy and honored that a ground in Leicester is being named after me.  Leicester is probably the city with the strongest supporters of the game, especially Indian cricket and so it is indeed a great honor.  In addition, a painting of 73-year-old Sunil Gavaskar has been made on one of the walls of the pavilion of a five-acre ground owned by the Bharat Sports and Cricket Club.Sunil Gavaskar was the name and face of the Indian team and batting in the 70's and 80's and used to bat fearlessly against the deadly fast bowlers of that era without any helmet.  In fact, he batted wearing only a cap against the 'Four Horsemen' of the West Indies team, which included Michael Holding, Andy Roberts, Malcolm Marshall and Joel Garner.Sunil Gavaskar has scored 13214 runs in his illustrious career of 16 years, which includes 35 centuries from 1971 to 1987.  He became the first cricketer to complete 10000 test runs in test cricket.  He achieved this feat against Pakistan in Ahmedabad on 7 March 1987.  He also played more than 100 ODI matches for India.  After retirement, he is earning a name in commentary.  Apart from this, he has also written his autobiography Sunny Days.
