Union Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey said wheat was shipped to countries like Bangladesh, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.  India has also shipped about 100,000 tonnes of wheat to Bangladesh since the export ban came into force.  Indonesia has imported the same amount after banning exports.
Last month, Food Minister Piyush Goyal said that India is not a major exporter of wheat, but will supply wheat to friendly countries facing food crisis.  Importantly, the G7 countries said the ban on wheat exports from India would exacerbate the global crisis.
