QUAD Summit Updates: PM Modi said – security priority in the Indo-Pacific region

 Speaking at the Quad (QUAD) Summit in Japan, PM Modi said that behind the success of the Quad lies the loyalty of all the allies.  At the time of Corona, together we all made every effort to deal with it through the supply chain.  The Prime Minister further said that security in the Indo-Pacific is the first priority of all of us.  Quad has gained a significant recognition in a very short span of time.
 During this, US President Joe Biden said that China is constantly raising challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.  He has blamed Russia for the Ukraine war.  Biden said that Russia is in no mood to end the war.  At the same time, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida said that Russia's attack on Ukraine is in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter.

 The four leaders of the Quad countries have announced Quad fellowships during the summit.  This fellowship will be awarded to 100 American, Australian, Indian and Japanese students graduating in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the US.
  On Monday, PM Modi participated in the Round Table Summit of Japanese Business Leaders in Tokyo.  In this, he interacted with the top executives and CEOs of more than 30 companies in Japan.  In Monday's event, PM Modi told business leaders about the improvement in India's business and invited them to 'Make in India for the world'.  PM Modi also attended the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework event on his first day in Tokyo.
 PM Modi met Osamu Suzuki, advisor of automobile giant Suzuki Motor Corporation during his visit to Japan.  He then also met with Masayoshi Son, the Board Director of SoftBank Group Corporation.  The two discussed issues related to investment, innovation, manufacturing of EVs in India.
