Union Home Minister Amit Shah on last Thursday inaugurated a special museum in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hometown Vadnagar. It is located about 100 km north of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. This museum depicts the 2,500-year-old history of Vadnagar. It is spread over 12,500 square meters and is being described as India's first archaeological experiential museum. Visitors here will be able to see the excavated site as well as more than 5,000 ancient objects. These include pottery, pearls, shell jewelry and early Buddhist artifacts.
