Ashalata Devi to become first Indian woman footballer to play 100 international matches

India women's football team captain Ashalata Devi will take to the field against Pakistan for the opening match of the SAIF Championship here on Thursday.  With this match, Indian women footballer Ashalata Devi will become the first Indian woman footballer to play 100 international matches.
Ashalata Devi, 31, is a resident of Manipur.  She made his India debut against Bangladesh in March 2011 from the pre-Olympic tournament in Dhaka.  Star defender Ashalata Devi has come a long way since this encounter.
